So, this contest went down in NYC this past Saturday. And this kid, what's his name? Oh yeah. Luis Tallentino representing Shut Skateboards won the high oillie contest. Whatever, right. Who cares about a high oillie contest anyway. Did I mention shit was 45 inches high. That's 3 inches short of 4 feet for all those mathematically challenged. Can we say WORLD RECORD! Yes we can! Congratulations Mr. Tallentino. Fast forward to about a minute forty three to see the pervious record get shattered.

Tampa got shit going down for "Go Skateboarding Day". These dudes even got Micky D's and Ford on board. Orlando, we need to represent!

The Bronze Age.

Alright, so this ARTIST named Tom Sachs made just about the most perfect quarterpipes ever. The problem (there always has to be one, right?) is that they are located within a gallery space of a Park Avenue office building in midtown Manhattan. Furthermore, they are "ART" and made out of bronze. Sachs himself said, “If it’s made in bronze, it’s no longer this menacing object of noise and liability but now something that has to be protected.” What the hell does that even mean? "menacing object of noise and liability......" Statements like that lead me to believe dude has never touched a skateboard.

Etnies is re-releasing the the Sal 23. The shoe looks the same as the original but with up dated technology for comfort. It also has the In4mation logo on it. In4mation is a skateboard/streetwear shop and brand out of Hawaii. In4mation can be found at BETA. The shoe and ball jersey will be available at COVERT. This weekends events

Yo Yo Yo! So apparently there is a big warehouse party this Friday Night. Some people from NYC are flying in to view the original sign from the 'POP SHOP". It was a store owned by the late great KEITH HARING.... There is a special viewing from 6 to 8 in one warehouse. Warehouse 2 will host me MOT, Andrew Spear and CUB! So I am now taking the time to fill you in on some Freddy Tan news. Ok so its been official that he has become a Covert rider but did you know he just got picked up by ADIDAS and SHUT Skateboards? Fred is on his way to to becoming AM status for both sponsors this summer.(keep those fingers crossed) So do your part for your local rippers and try a pair of ADIDAS shoes and a SHUT deck.
