Civilized Sundays

Our friend Mike Rosa was asked to film a Civilized Sundays for Transworld Skateboarding. You will see shop lurker and part time Covert rider Ryan Nix and Covert shop owner Willy D.....This is part 1. Not sure if there is a part 2... Filmed and edited by David Cahall. We are trying to start posting more footy. Hopefully this is the start of something new. Contest this weekend at MESH re-post

Some of you might know I was a dj on the first couple of AST DEW TOURS. While I was there I convinced the staff to let me have a contest on the skateboard park course at AMWAY arena. So with a little help from our friends at MESH we started the LOCALS ONLY contest. Here is how it works. There is a Qualifier at MESH. The top finalists in that contest get to skate in the finals at the DEW TOUR alongside a representative from all the local skate shops. That way each shop in town has a finalist and gets represented. It is a super fun contest and its all for skateboarding in central florida. We have a ton of amazing talent here.
So below are the flyers to explain everything. One more thing the finals will be held when the gates are open at the AST DEW TOUR. That means the stands will be packed with a ton of fans cheering on all the skaters. FUCK HATE LETS SKATE!

So, this contest went down in NYC this past Saturday. And this kid, what's his name? Oh yeah. Luis Tallentino representing Shut Skateboards won the high oillie contest. Whatever, right. Who cares about a high oillie contest anyway. Did I mention shit was 45 inches high. That's 3 inches short of 4 feet for all those mathematically challenged. Can we say WORLD RECORD! Yes we can! Congratulations Mr. Tallentino. Fast forward to about a minute forty three to see the pervious record get shattered.
